Hot news from the Kate and Gerry McCash's blog with the revelation that "it was agreed in principle to appoint a family spokesperson who will act, not just for Kate and I, but also on behalf of the extended family who have been liasing with the media."
Does this mean that "Team McCann" will be downsized?
Or merely that, now they will have "appointed" someone, the lucky spokesperson can start to claim expenses from the cash cow that the fund has become.
Maybe even to pay for a few trips to countries here and there to speak on behalf of Team McCann.
Why the hell not.
It's not as if anyone dare criticise them in the papers, is it !!

Arrogance
"Kate and I got the respone we wanted after speaking to the Portuguese ploice today.
We are assured that no criticism of our actions on the night Madeline disappeared was intended."
Doesn't that statement (which appeared on the McCann's blog) appear a little arrogant?
I wish I could get the response I wanted whenever I contacted the Police.
Unfortunately I looked after my children in a responsible manner and don't have nearly a milioin quid to jaunt around Europe as I feel like it with an army of Media Yes men to coordinate my daily life.
Could that be the cause of their sheer arrogance in proclaiming that abandoning their children shouldn't reflect badly on them?
Is their blog there to protect them from any criticism or is it really just to find Madeline?

£700,000
As the "Madeline fund" soars past the £700,000 mark, questions are being asked about where the money is going.
That's nearly three quarters of a million pounds, folks.
To a couple who left their three kids in an unlocked apartment in a foreign country !!
One of the clauses in the "Madeline Foundation" that was raised to handle the piles of dosh states that it will be used "to provide support, including financial assistance, to Madeleine’s family."
Does that include flying Uncles Tom, Dick and Harry over from the UK to provide support to the remaining twins?
Or is it merely limited to providing Hotel and living expenses (such as refuelling their private jet) as they traipse around the world to raise Madelines profile?
But is there anybody on planet Earth who hasn't heard about it by now?
And just who is Clarence Mitchell, one of the many members of Team McCann?
Many others are asking too.
You can read about the McCanns in a daily blog that they keep here.
Here's an exceprt from Day 44 since Medeline disappeared.
"Kate and I dropped Jon at the airport this morning and picked up some more friends/family who have come out to see us........ After lunch we headed off to the local zoo....."
Blimey !
How do I get to join Team McCann?

Something fishy
Ever since the first media report of the Madeline disappearance starring the parents, I have had an uneasy sense with regards the media manipulation.
Over time, with more and more over the top "B Movie" plot developments regarding the McCanns and their antics, that sense of unease has only grown stronger.
How exactly does a family manage to avoid so many basic questions such as:
"Why did you abandon 2 x 18 month old twins and a 3 year old in an apartment in a foreign country whilst you went out for a meal?"
"Why did'nt you make use of the babysitting facilities available on site?"
"Why aren't you being investigated for child abuse (or abandonement) in what is a very clear cut case?"
I'm surmising that part of the reasons is because of the starring players in this little drama.
Take one cute faced blond photogenic toddler.
Throw in a couple of middle class "respectable" parents on a family holiday.
Add a touch of tragedy (nasty evil men lurking in dark alleyways eyc) and there you have it.
A story to grace the front pages of nespapers for a few days until the next plotline of Corrie is leaked and then it's relegated to an occcasional item buried deep inside the papers.
But not the McCann story..........
Oh no.
The months drag on and there have been no developments.
Not a single one.
So how come the McCanns have managed to find such willing allies in the media?
Were they so media savvy that they could instantly call on a list of contacts to fuel the media storm?
Or are they this years "Princess Di" story.
There's something fishy going on here ......
